Arogya Mela was organized by the NIEDS team at Christ college, Irinjalakuda during 1,2 March of 2008 with an aim to bring awareness amongst the deprived population of the region who have no access to basic health services.
The inauguration of the camp was done by former Kerala legislative assembly speaker Sri. K. Radhakrishnan. Adv. Thomas Unniyadan M.L.A presided over the function.
Services of the Specialists from Allopathy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy were available in the Camp. Laboratory Check-ups, Scanning, X-RAY, ECG, and Medicines were all made available to everyone free of cost as a part of this massive campaign.
Awareness classes were also organized to enhance health awareness and to promote wellness.
