Since prevention is the better cure, we are with the people to make them aware of Cancer and its precautions. We stood with the Cancer patients to make them strong, and to not let them wither from the good happy days.
Initially, we hold programs like Free Ward-level Cancer check-up camps, awareness workshops, special awareness activities for common people and students, led by the expert team under Oncologist Dr. V.P Gangadharan.
Weekly home visit of the cancer patient is still done by the NIEDS team to ensure their all-round well-being. The regular check-ins enable them to restore their confidence in their own health.
02.10.2009: A Cancer Screening camp was organized at Christ college auditorium Irinjalakuda under the expert supervision of Dr. Rajiv from Trivandrum RCC. Experts from Amala hospital were also a part of this camp.
A total of 217 people attended the Screening camp. And out of these 10 were diagnosed with cancer. Dr Rajiv conducted a counselling section for the patients with a motto to reduce the stress they face and improve their quality of life.
